A ten-minute weekly review that asks about people too
Daysli's weekly review in My Life: what went well, what got in the way, who you spent real time with, and how much to take on next week.
I postponed my first weekly review twice. Then I did it on a Sunday evening in ten minutes, and it was the most useful ten minutes of my week.
Daysli's weekly review lives in My Life. It is short on purpose: reviewing that turns into rumination does more harm than good.
The questions
- What went well? Specifically. Not "the week was fine", but "I finished the slides early and slept properly on Thursday". It starts here because noticing what is actually good is a habit worth building.
- What got in the way? Not a confession. Just what happened, so next week can be designed around it.
- Who did you spend real time with? Who did you miss? This is the question that caught me. A week can be productive and lonely at the same time, and the review is the moment you notice.
- Next week: lighter, the same, or more? You decide the load. After a hard week, the right answer is often "lighter", and Daysli will suggest smaller next steps.
You can also pick one goal to focus on next week.
What happens next
Your answers stay in My Life, private to you. If you missed a week or two, nothing breaks: there is no streak to lose. The review simply picks up where you are.
The "who did you miss" answer often turns into a to-do ("call Sam on Tuesday") linked to that person in People, or into a message on Ring. That is where growth, organization and people quietly meet.
When you want more
When the weekly habit sticks, My Life has deeper reviews, all optional:
- Close the day: a few evening questions on Today, sealed in your end-to-end encrypted journal.
- Quarterly review: what worked, what to stop, and the risks worth checking.
- Annual review: purpose, people and path.
- Decision journal: write down what you expect and how sure you are, then look back later and see how well calibrated you were. Shown in words, never as a score.
